Twotara-newborn-clothesCongratulations, you’re pregnant! Now it’s time for all of the decisions, one of the first being whether to find out the gender of your new baby.  These days it seems that more and more people are opting to leave the sex of their baby as a surprise (approximately 40% of expectant parents don’t know if the baby is a boy or a girl). Of course, if you do decide not to find out the gender, it makes shopping for your little one a little bit harder. Until now that is! Twotara is a unique brand that makes completely reversible newborn clothes – pink on one side and blue on the other.

Twotara Newborn Clothes Review:

Twotara-newborn-clothesTwotara is named after the tuatara lizard of New Zealand, which changes colors over time. Since Twotara newborn clothes also “change colours”, the name seemed like a perfect fit.

We recently welcomed Baby #3 to our family, and although this was our third, we decided not to find out the gender of the baby. Although we already had plenty of gender neutral clothing options for our new little one thanks to it’s siblings, there is still something nice about having a sweet pink or blue outfit to dress baby up in at the hospital.

I had the pleasure of receiving a Twotara newborn romper and a sweet pair of booties the week before our newest addition joined our family. One of the details that I immediately loved about the romper was that because it’s double-sided, it has two layers of fabric, which makes it extra cozy.
Twotara’s product line is small and simple; they feature rompers, sleepers (footies), gowns, as well as hats, booties & mittens. Each Twotara piece is made of soft, 100% interlock knit cotton making them super comfortable on a newborns skin. The only sizes Twotara offers are newborn (fits 5-8 lb up to 21 inches) and 0-3 months (fits 8-12 lb up to 24 inches). The garments have simple patterns in muted tones of pink or blue. One of my favourite details on the romper are the sweet pockets on the bum.  The majority of the romper is striped with the pockets and arms in a complimentary circle pattern.

Twotara Newborn Clothes – Pros:

  • Twotara clothing is made of a double layer of soft cotton.
  • Reversible clothing solves the dilemma of what to buy for when you don’t know the gender of a newborn.

Twotara Newborn Clothes – Cons:

I can’t think of anything that I would change or have issue with!  Twotara offers a lovely solution to the gender neutral dilemma!

Would I Buy Twotara Newborn Clothes?

Absolutely yes! I was so happy to have a blue option to dress our newest son in at the hospital and I know other mama’s in my circle would be just as happy to have an option like this when they welcome their gender unknown little ones!

Where to Buy Twotara Newborn Clothes:

The Twotara website has a full list of retailers (both online as well as by region).
